Your privacy is important to Play.Compete. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. Additionally, Play.Compete adheres to the Safe Harbor Principles as agreed to and set forth by the United States Department of Commerce and the European Union (“EU”), To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our website.

Play.Compete reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. Such changes, modifications, additions or deletions shall be effective immediately upon posting on-line at this location. Your privacy is important to us. Because of this, we take a very minimal approach to collecting information from you. We do not save any credit card information on our servers, and we do not sell or share your information with anyone other than the Event Director for the races you register for at Play.Compete.

Types of Information Collected

In order to better provide you with our numerous services, we collect two types of information about our users: Personal Information and Non-Personal Information.

Personal Information

When you order services through Play.Compete, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form to us to allow us to process your order, provide you with the services you order from us, and to provide ongoing technical support for your account. You must provide contact information (such as name, email, phone number, and address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). By purchasing via our service, you agree to provide and maintain accurate, complete and updated information. Your personal information will be kept only as long as we need it for the purposes for which we collected it, or as permitted by law. Payment information such as credit card number, is processing through a third party gateway and Play.Compete never stores, transmits, copies or otherwise retains any credit card information.

After you have ordered via our services, we may be in communication with you about your account. These communications are essential to our relationship with you and to our ability to provide you with quality services that are responsive to your needs. As a result, we may maintain information about our communications with you for future use. In addition, your contact information is shared with event direcotrs for the sole purposes of them communicating with you about the specific event for which you are registered.

Play.Compete shall only process Personal Information in a way that is compatible with and relevant for the purpose for which it was collected or authorized by the individual. To the extent necessary for those purposes, Play.Compete shall take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is accurate, complete, current and reliable for its intended use.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order only to provide service to that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide service, such as information provided to the race or event director for a particular event you signed up for. For sensitive information, affirmative or explicit (opt in) choice will be given if the information is to be disclosed to a third party or used for a purpose other than previously authorized.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your Personal Information to others. We do provide some of our services through contractual arrangements with affiliates, services providers, partners and other third parties. We and our service partners use your Personal Information to operate our sites and to deliver our services. For example, we must release your credit card information to the card-issuing bank to confirm payment for products and services purchased on this site or release your address information to the delivery service to deliver products that you ordered.

Occasionally, Play.Compete may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide Personal Information to the appropriate governmental authorities. We will disclose Personal Information upon receipt of a court order or subpoena or to cooperate with a law enforcement investigation. We fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in identifying those who use Play.Compete services for illegal activities. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that Play.Compete in good faith believe to be unlawful.

Play.Compete may also use the Personal Information collected to contact customers regarding important changes to our site, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable. Non-Personal Information

Play.Compete collects tracking data when users visit our websites. Disclosure of Non-Personal Information

Event Directors

Event Directors who use our website agree to terms that prohibit them from reselling or using your name for any purposes other than notifying you about their race.

We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. All confirmed orders are final once payment is submitted. Play.Compete does not issue refunds. Any event or service sponsored or operated by an Event Sponsor and any product sold by an Event Sponsor are not the responsibility of Play.Compete and you agree to hold Play.Compete and its agents harmless from any liability or injury arising from or related to your participation in any such event or service or your purchase of any such product. Event Sponsors have provided some of the information included in this Web Site and Play.Compete neither verifies, certifies, nor is responsible for the accuracy or completeness thereof. All confirmed orders are final once payment is submitted. The purchase, payment, warranty, guarantee, delivery, maintenance, and all other matters concerning the merchandise, services, or information, opinion, or device ordered or received from such Event Sponsor or other vendor are solely between you and such business. Any separate charges or obligations you incur in your dealings with these third parties are your responsibility. Every user of Play.Compete services must contact the individual event director should they have any payment disputes or require a refund. Play.Compete does not offer refunds to organizers for cancelled events.

Dealing with Merchants and Third Parties

If you choose to correspond, participate in a promotion or engage in transactions with any individual or business found on or through this Web Site, you acknowledge and agree that Play.Compete is not a party to, and will not be responsible for, your interaction with such individual or business, including such party’s treatment of your information and the terms and conditions applicable to any transaction between you and such party. The terms of your interaction with such party are solely between you and such party. You agree that Play.Compete will have no responsibility or liability for any loss or damage of any kind that you may suffer as the result of any such interaction or the presence of such parties on this Web Site.

Harassment and Abuse

Play.Compete does not tolerate abuse of any kind towards it’s employees. This includes all verbal harassment, yelling, swearing, rudeness, threats, and any intentionally disruptive behavior directed at Play.Compete or any of it’s staff or agents. customer agrees to engage our Play.Compete in a professional manner whether in email, helpdesk tickets, or on the telephone. Any abuse will be construed as a violation of this Terms of Service agreement.


Customer agrees that Play.Compete’s failure at any time to enforce any of the provisions of this TOS or any right or remedy available hereunder, or at law or equity, or to exercise any option herein provided, shall in no way be construed to be a waiver of such provisions, rights, remedies, or options or in any way to affect the validity of this TOS. The exercise by Play.Compete of any rights, remedies, or options provided hereunder, or at law or equity, shall not preclude or prejudice Play.Compete from exercising thereafter the same or other rights, remedies, or options.

Force Majeure

You agree that Play.Compete is not responsible for any damages, delays, or other failures to fulfill its obligations hereunder as a result of war, fire, strike, riot or insurrection, natural disaster, delay of carriers, governmental order or regulation, complete or partial shutdown of plant, unavailability of materials or equipment from suppliers, failures or blackouts, labor disputes, and/or other occurrences beyond its control whether or not similar to those listed above.


Neither this TOS nor any of the rights, interests or obligations hereunder may be assigned by the customer (whether by operation of law or otherwise) without the prior written consent of The Company. The Company may assign this TOS without the consent of customer. Subject to the foregoing, this TOS shall be binding upon, inure to the benefit of and be enforceable by the parties and their respective successors and permitted assigns.


We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason.

Anything not explicitly stated in this TOS is subject to interpretation at Play.Compete’s sole and absolute discretion.

You, as Play.Compete’s customer, are solely responsible for the content stored on and served by your Play.Compete service.

Illegal Activity or Content

The Service shall not be used for any unlawful activities or in connection with any criminal or civil violation. Use of the Service or Network for transmission, distribution, retrieval, or storage of any information, data or other material in violation of any applicable law or regulation (including, where applicable, any tariff or treaty) is prohibited. This includes, without limitation, the use or transmission of any data or material protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent or other intellectual property right without proper authorization and the transmission of any material that constitutes an illegal threat, violates export control laws, or is obscene, defamatory or otherwise unlawful.

Network/Website Abuse

Play.Compete expressly prohibits any activities that, in its sole discretion, constitute network abuse or disruption of this service. This includes, but is not limited to: Denial of Service attacks or any activities designed to exhaust the resources of a host or network. Any attempt to monitor data or traffic on any network or system without the authorization of the owner of the system or network. You shall also not upload or otherwise transmit files that contain a virus or corrupted data. You also agree to not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Web Site, any related website, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connect to the Web Site; or engage in any other conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone’s use or enjoyment of the Play.Compete Web Site, or which, as determined by Play.Compete, may harm Play.Compete or users of the Play.Compete Web Site or expose them to liability.
